Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Abigail stood in her room, the phone pressed against her ear, as Elsa delivered the crushing news. Every phrase cut her heart like a blade, shattering her hope and filling her with despair and disbelief. Her mind fought to accept the fact that Christopher had come to Singapore with Vivian.

"I am sharing this news to show his real nature. Don't think that I am trying to depress you." Elsa's voice continued to ring. "Don't let them bother you. You are in a better position and have a great future ahead of you."

By saying that Elsa wanted to remind her of Jasper's unwavering love for her.

Abigail's heart couldn't fully embrace that sentiment. She was still consumed by the raw emotions that flooded her being, her love for Christopher stubbornly clinging to her soul.
