“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

The Billionaire's Sick Wife

Christopher arrived at the workplace on time. His thoughts drifted back to the confidential file he had noticed in Abigail's bag. He was unable to check the file last night. The suspicion and hurt still lingered in his heart, but he had to compartmentalize his personal turmoil to deal with the pressing matter at hand.

Benjamin rushed over and informed him that the landowner had been waiting for him.

"Are you sure?" Christopher squinted at him in disbelief. He couldn't figure out why the man, who had vanished after the accident, was suddenly at his office, apparently willing to talk about the deal.

Benjamin nodded and said, "He arrived early and wanted to talk to you about the deal."

"Okay!" Christopher couldn't figure out how this miracle had occurred. "Bring him."

"Sure…" Benjamin walked out in haste.

Christopher sat down in his seat and waited for the landlord with anticipation.
