“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Christopher's heart was torn apart as he sensed her immense tension. All this could have been avoided if he had just listened to Jasper. He understood that his actions had contributed to Abigail's distress. He was so guilty that he couldn't say anything. His words wouldn't be enough to erase the tension and fear in her mind.

Abigail's eyes held a shadow of doubt as she continued to voice her concerns: "Anastasia has also gotten involved now. Britney may come to get even with her. I don't want her to kill another innocent."

Christopher held her tighter, his heart aching at her distress. He wanted to assuage her fears and assure her of her safety. "You're overthinking," he reassured her gently. "She can't do anything. The cops will send her to the mental hospital soon. She can't escape."
