Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Nancy was lying in a hospital bed, her tear-stained face showing the agony and torment she had been through. Christopher sat nearby, a mixture of concern and curiosity etched onto his features.
