“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Ella's phone rang incessantly in her room. Jasper paced nervously around his hotel room, glancing repeatedly at his phone while waiting for Ella to answer his calls. He was leaving today and wanted to hear her voice to ensure she was all right. When she didn't pick up his call, his concern for her turned to an unknown fear.

'Is she okay?' He wondered as he looked at the phone.

Jasper tried calling her again and again, but the outcome was always the same: no response. His mind raced with possibilities, none of them good.

"Where are you, Ella?" Restless, Jasper thought he would go and see her.

The place where she was working was not far away from the hotel. Jasper put on his coat and went out, calling her once again.

Escape the nightmare
