Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Jasper had just emerged from his room when he spotted Ella hunched over in the hall, completely absorbed in her work. Her focused demeanor piqued his interest. To take a closer look at her, he inched toward the balustrade and noticed her drawing something. It was only at that moment that his gaze shifted to the forgotten file Britney had given him the night before.

He had been so worried about Ella after hearing her scream that he had rushed to check on her immediately. He had completely forgotten about the file. Now, curiosity propelled him further as he wondered about Ella's current engagement with the designs.

Stepping down the staircase with cautious steps, Jasper approached Ella quietly, keen not to disturb her. He slowly walked over to her.

Ella was entirely focused on her drawing, unaware of Jasper's presence. She was sketching a dress design, her pencil moving swiftly across the paper as she brought her vision to life.
