Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

The sound of the doorbell echoed through the villa. Ella was surprised as to why Elsa had returned so soon. Didn't she say she was going to enjoy the day with her friend? She wondered and went to open the door.

To her shock, instead of Elsa, she saw a young woman in a wheelchair outside the door. The sight left Ella feeling as though the ground had slipped from beneath her feet. Ella understood it was none other than Jasper's fiancée, Britney. Finally, she came face-to-face with the woman she had never wanted to meet in her life.

Embarrassment and guilt churned within her, leaving her feeling restless and uncomfortable. Her hand unconsciously gripped the doorknob as she stood there, taken aback and momentarily forgetting to greet or invite Britney inside.
