Anger (1)

It was not easy to locate Kira, Drey hadn't learned to differentiate the scent yet. He found it had to track her faint scent since two days have gone by since her kidnapping. But Kira had been with him for quite a while now so he had gotten used to her scent, especially her hair scent.

And once he caught her scent near the entrance of Valley Inn, it was easy for him to figure out where she was. Especially, since her hair excluded a different scent from the people around this place.

Reaching the ninth floor was like pouring water into a slippery ground for him. The stairs didn't tire him even once. His long kegs carry him faster, leaving the people at the inn staring.

Valley Inn had so many dirty businesses going on, and those people dare take her here.

As Drey walks into the luxurious room he was not prepared for what he saw. Three men had surrounded Kira and one lay motionless on the floor.

Sue was frightened by the intense gaze and

backed away, she covered her eyes at the intense glare of the King's ember-ray eyes.

The room was silent except for the sound of heavy breathing and the occasional groan of one of the men from the floor.

"Kira!"Drey called out to the girl who sat motionless on the chair, her emotion locked away inside.

As Drey approached her, he could see the pain and despair etched on her pale face, and his heart crumbled.

The torn state of her dress and the hopelessness in her eyes only added to his anger and frustration. He struggled to contain the rage that boiled inside him, his cobra-like instinct threatening to lash out and strike at the people who had laid a hand on her.

"Kira," his voice was low and steady.

Drey worried voice echoed through the dimly lit room as he said, "It's me, Kira." He took off his robe and draped it on her shoulder, he ensure it cover her properly.

Not long, Rico strode into the luxurious room and scanned his surrounding, taking in the opulence with a quick glance. As he approached the group of people who had moved away from the girl, his gaze locked into them.

Rico's gaze settle on the elderly man, he couldn't believe the merchants. Isaac stood and other men who have accompanied him to the castle a few days ago. He narrowed his eyes and Isaac's features flickered for a moment before he turned to Drey.

The man didn't seem to care for his surrounding, as his focus was on the girl in front of him. This girl was his light and when he had just realized they want to take her away from him.

Drey didn't care about love or any attachment to anyone. He had never paid any attention to women, not even when he had saved them from the clutches of his cruel father or when he had saved Jerome from drowning in the pool of alcohol.

They had never made him feel love or anything that could touch his cold emotions. He believed that he was a devil along with them, or snakes don't possess a heart.

Yet, when Drey saw the motionless state of Kira, emotions he didn't believe existed inside him flooded. He just knew he was fond of her but he couldn't remember when he felt something so strong that he was barely able to control his emotion.

He dropped to his knees and hold her in his arms, he brought his hands to her back and rub her, but he felt no reaction from Kira.

Despite Drey's effort to get Kira to speak, she just stare blankly. It was the same state in which Drey had founded her back in Vinita, motionless and curled up in a corner.

Remembering this, memories flooded back to the man on the ground. He stretched out his hand and turn the man to face upwards, revealing the same wound on the cheek that the soldier in Vinita had.

Turning to look at Kira, he saw that she had buried her face in the nook of his neck. He observes both of her hands and her surrounding there were no sharp objects around. He had encountered multiple individuals with the exact wound on their cheeks, since then.

"My little troublemaker," he called out, eagerly awaiting a response, longing to hear the sound of her voice. Even though she remained silent, he could sense the faint beating of her heart.

The poorly illuminated room suddenly plunged into darkness, leaving only the fiery intensity in the King's eyes as a source of light. However, this was merely the precursor to the outburst anger of the Cobra.

Rico's voice was harsh and his expression turned furious as he roared at the people in front of him. "Get out of here!" However, they didn't move as quickly as he had hoped for. He shoved them away from the room with force.

With things happening faster around them, they needed time to digest what was happening, it seems as if it was no longer their game but they were being played, and the gamers played them roughly.

Rico watched as the ground shook, Drey's body grew cold and vast, and Rico could feel the intensity of his growth.

Moving closer, he cursed, "The old man knew this was going to happen."

The swirled of air tried to push him away when Drey was trying to shift but Rico hold his ground by holding the bed which was slightly shaken.

"Think about Kira, Drey, before you let your anger consume you," Rico shouted with a stern warning. "You wouldn't want her to remain in a state of shock forever," Rico's suggestion caught the cobra's attention, especially when he mentioned Kira's well-being.
