Started Over

"Ugh."

Della immediately flopped onto the bed when she finished the shower. The girl paused as she looked at the laptop that was neatly stored on the study table. Pondering, her fingers again tempted to play a favorite game that had been left behind lately.

Della let out a long breath as she remained standing to approach the study table and turned on the laptop with mixed feelings. On one hand, the Tales of Dungeon game was the only place where she could relax a little from the real world. But on the other hand, Della knew all the players had added her to the blacklist just because she was dishonorably kicked out of the game's most famous guild. Maybe some players were still willing to accept her. But, they were just small guilds that own a dungeon that couldn't be entered because of the level restrictions.

With Della's character level, entering a level C dungeon was no longer possible. While small guilds only had at most two level C Dungeons with one level B Dungeon if they were willing to work hard to progress. That was one of the other reasons why Della couldn't enroll in a smaller guild. She was stuck with her character. Betrayed, and caught up in insults without knowing what she did wrong.

When her laptop had turned on, Della saw the Tales of Dungeon icon on the laptop's desktop and began to contemplate for a moment. Since she obviously couldn't let anyone know that she enjoyed playing online games, Della always used an alias account to play a game. Deleting it was not a difficult thing. And since the game itself was not one that allowed one to use the money to increase the player's power, Della was not worried about losing anything from the game. Deleting it wasn't a big deal. She was previously only afraid of throwing away the time she spent in the game. The good times, as well as the painful times lately.

Taking a deep breath, Della finally logged back into her favorite game. Her heart was beating fast, as she saw that people still seemed to be talking about her in the game's world chat.

Since childhood, Della had always been afraid of being hated by others. She tried to grow up to be the perfect girl for the same reason. Her feelings were now completely shattered, as she saw that even in the game, there were times when she was to blame without knowing what exactly she had done wrong.

This time, Della was determined. She deleted her game account without a second thought. The girl bit her lip tightly. Della remained in the same position for a few seconds, before she finally took a deep breath and looked more relieved than ever.

Tales of Dungeon was her only source of happiness. In the real world, even if she was being teased by someone, Della would usually just force a smile and ignore them as long as they did not cross the line. But, the virtual world was definitely different from the real world. There Della could be her true self. Della could get angry if she wanted to. And right now, all of Della's sad feelings had turned into a deep-rooted grudge in her heart.

She was dishonorably kicked out of the guild for no apparent reason. The other players also looked down on her because she never wanted to pressure the new members of the guild for her benefit. Della let out a long breath, as she decided what she would do next.

Since Della usually couldn't seek justice in the real world, the girl could at least get justice in the virtual world. Going against the big guild openly was obviously tantamount to suicide. Domination's Guild Leader was a player who had been continuously online to strengthen his character all this time. Even if Della wasn't a bad player, her character's combat power would definitely still be far inferior to that type of person. Not to mention that the elite members of the guild also had a higher level than her on average. Della was not a girl who had much free time. She could only play when all her main activities were done. Catching up to their levels quickly was obviously impossible. However, starting from scratch and finding a guild that could match that guild in the future was definitely not impossible for Della.

Now that she had created a new character, she could more freely search for guilds with high potential to shine in the future. Della was not a new player in the game. As long as she started over, Della was confident that she could avoid the mistakes that beginners usually made so that her abilities could improve faster than the average player.

As a longtime player, Della knew that players usually started to have trouble leveling up once they reached levels above a hundred. Not to mention that most dungeons would limit the receipt of rewards after they reached such a high level. This was done to reduce the level gap between new players and old players. Players with such high levels can usually only enter S-level dungeons. But in the game, very few S-level dungeons have been defeated or discovered by other players.

With the difficulty of conquering a dungeon, players above level one hundred usually start focusing on PvP events to increase their level. Their combat power slowly reaches a fixed point. New players, on the other hand, can still continue to grow rapidly and look for good items to increase their combat power.

In the past, hearing her friends complain about how difficult it was to increase their combat power after they reached a high level was like daily food for Della. Faced with that problem, their guild leader finally made a new rule where low-level players could give them 'tribute' as payment for joining their guild. Joining the Domination Guild was like having free access to explore half the dungeons in the game. So mostly, no one protested about such rules.

The 'tributes' would later be used to increase the combat power of the top-tier players. That issue might be a little worrying for Della. However, if she could take advantage of the situation, Della was confident that she could get more valuable items if she played the game properly at this time.

The more Della thought about it, the more confident she became in her decision to start all over again. No matter what happened, she had to teach a lesson to those who had betrayed her. And for those who hadn't, Della also wanted to prove that small guilds didn't need to always obey the orders of Guild Domination just because they were strong at the moment.

And of course. Della wanted to prove to everyone, that playing fair didn't mean her character would end up weak when her level passed level 100. She could also become an expert in player-to-player combat, even if the items she used were not the result of looting items obtained from high-level dungeons.

Della opened the Tales of Dungeon game without any expression. The girl smoothly used another fake account to play the online game. Della waited until the login process was finally completed before she finally entered the process of setting the appearance and gender of the character she would use. Della smiled when she saw the type of character she created. If in the past she only made her character as a beautiful sweet girl, this time Della unhesitatingly created a prominent character with a strong look that balanced the character class as a warrior. The characters she created looked dashing and strong, making Della secretly start praising her characters.

At the last touch, Della did not forget to name her new character. The girl thought for a moment, before typing smoothly using her keyboard.

[Athena.]

[System: Are you sure you want to use this name?]

[Yes/No]

Della unhesitatingly clicked the yes button. This character would be the symbol of her declaration of war on Guild Domination. The girl displayed a small smile when Della suddenly let out an evil laugh.

"Just watch. I'll come back, and force all of you into my arms," Della muttered to herself with a sense of satisfaction.
