Dad walked up to me and kissed my cheek.
"How was work?" I asked, expecting a positive response.
"Hectic but fine!" Dad said and I smiled. He hugged me. "How was your day? I bet you enjoyed every bit, uh!" I chuckled
"Then I don't really have anything to say, do I?" We went into the house and shut the door. "Have you eaten yet?" I asked.
"Yeah, I grabbed a few bites. I was sure you'd eat out with Alex so, I didn't dare come home with an empty stomach." He said and sat down. I stared at him with a meaningful smile on my face. "What?"
"It's nothing!" I said. "I just thought that, the father who was always a mess and oozed of alcohol every single day, was now a responsible and smart mall manager!"
"And a responsible father!" He added and I nodded. A thought came to my mind.
"Daddy?" I called. "If you were asked to choose between me and my mother, whose side would you pick?" I asked, suddenly turning serious.
