I followed Oscar back to his place since someone already tipped off the reporters about my 'humble abode'
"God, what is taking Nathan so long? It's not like investigating takes that long for someone of his caliber." I said and crashed on the sofa. "Man, I missed this sofa!"
"It's not like your place is any less comfortable!" Oscar said while approaching with a hot cup of coffee.
I turned to him with doubting eyes.
"Excuse me!" I sat up. "Are you trying to tell me that there are no difference between a billon dollar house and fifty thousand dollar monthly paid apartment?" I asked with narrowed eyes.
He looked at me as if short of words and then sipped his coffee.
"You're right, I'm sorry!" He said and sat beside me.
I relaxed on the sofa and noticed a few maids lurking around and spying on me.
"Hey, Oscar?" I called.
"Hm?"
"Do I look like a clown right now?" I asked out of the blue and his eyes widened.
"No, never! You're absolutely breathtaking!" He praised.
