I looked up at the ceiling. I had gotten too used to how it looked.

How long had it been? Weeks? Months? It was definitely two months and I hadn't heard a thing about Oscar.

Those responsible must have been extra carful when carrying out their operation for Aaron to not get any clue in two months. Was that even possible?

How could they keep a person in hiding for two months? And Oscar, he didn't try to reach out to us, not even once. Could it be...?

I shook my head. I didn't have time for nasty thoughts. I opened the file in for of me, did a proper cross-check and signed my signature.

I did that for several other files until Kaylie walked in to remind me of the lunch meeting. Seriously, I hated having lunch meetings.

I rubbed the back of my neck and sighed.
