Somehow I'd ended up in the familiar football field again. It was empty once more. I wondered if anyone even played here. Then again, it was already pretty late, any matches or practice would have ended hours ago.
The cool wind caressed my wet cheeks. My eyes automatically turned up to gaze at the starts, but they failed to bring me any sort of comfort today.
The rustling sound of footsteps behind me caught my attention. I didn't need to turn around to know who it was.
/"I knew you'd be here./" Nate's gruff voice greeted me.
He took a seat beside me without waiting for an invitation.
We sat in silence for a while, his arm wrapped around me and my head automatically found refuge in his neck.
/"How are you holding up?/" He asked softly.
I sighed, /"Honestly? Like crap. I don't know what I should do./"
Another few minutes of silence passed before he spoke.
