#Chapter54
Love
/"I'm in love with you Nate./" I whispered.
He closed his eyes and his lips brushed my forehead.
/"I don't deserve you./" He murmured.
The sound of my phone ringing broke us out of our daze.
/"That must be Trevor./" Nate said begrudgingly.
I sighed.
I knew the moment was broken.
/"It's probably him. He's been away for a while now. Would you do me a favor and get my phone for me./" I muttered, cursing Trevor for his bad timing.
/"Sure./" Nate smiled as he got up.
He picked my phone up from the bench and checked the screen, his eyes scrunched up in confusion and he pressed the screen.
I could see the color drain from his face.
/"What's wrong?/" I demanded as I started to make way towards him.
His head snapped in my direction, his expression going blank. /"It's nothing. Your brother messaged and said he'll be running late./" His voice was cool.
I didn't believe him.
