When we'd stepped out of Liam's room Marcus turned to me and gave me a pointed look.

/"What?/" I asked, annoyance lacing my voice.

/"What are you planning to do exactly?/" Marcus demanded.

I sighed, /"I'm not sure yet, but I'm going to find the killer. This Ethan guy sounds like pretty good lead./"

Marcus looked at me like I had just sprouted another head.

/"Are you insane?/" He practically yelled. /"We're talking about a murderer here Nate! The only reason why I agreed to take you to Liam was because I thought you'd go to the police if you found something!/"

I gave him a glare, /"The police are too busy trying to find evidence against me to look for the real killer. It's been a week Marcus and the police haven't found anything. We need to do this ourselves before that man hurts anyone else./"

/"Hurts Verena you mean./" Marcus said pointedly.

I gave him a weary look, /"Let's just go, okay?/"
