The car ride back was tense. No one talked about what we heard in there. I don’t think we knew what to say at this point. I looked at Nik, who was staring out of the window. To hear who was behind someone’s death that you loved was the worst feeling in the world. Nik suffered in a way no one should, and Shawn suffered a unique way. Each lost their innocence because of Gage. Nik with the loss of Mike and Shawn with his first sexual experience. Both were unforgivable.
