We visited with Liam and his family for a while. Mom and Dad caught up with him and Mel. The guys and Val met Lena. I became fascinated, learning more about them. I didn’t realize how big this family was. Most of the family had moved away. I didn’t get to meet most of them.

We camped out at Liam’s until morning when we headed back to Saintwood. They showed us to a room since the house was huge. I laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling. A lot had happened, which I tried to process. I liked the way I felt when I was around Val.

The person entered the room and shut the door behind them. They made their way to the bed and jumped in, diving under the covers. I pulled the blanket to show Val grinning at me.

The door opened again, and she yanked the covers over her head.
