We were in the school’s hallway when Jace’s phone went off. He looked at it and answered, /"Andi?/"

I told you to stay out of things! He heard a deep voice say on the other end.

Jace put it on speaker, and we heard scuffling and banging. Nash and Jace looked at each other. Nash grabbed my hand as we ran to the car.

On our way to Andi, Nash called Nixon to fill him in on what was happening. Jace used the find my phone app to locate her. Nash sped towards Andi’s school.

It took two hours, but he pulled up to the school, and the car screeched to a halt. Jace didn’t waste any time getting out of the vehicle. Nash and I ran after him.
