After getting engaged, we waited until Paige graduated to get married. She had a year left of school. I had gotten used to being home. Everything was going well until the guys overheard a couple of guys talking. By guys, I mean those scums Issac and Gary, whom I had a run-in with one night while helping Patty Gray.

/"You should have finished the job,/" Issac told Gary.

/"I would have if someone hadn’t been in the diner with him,/" Gary said.

Bob and Ian looked at each other while the other two idiots talked about trying to off me. Not too bright, might I add. They got a hold of Martin and Miguel, along with me, taking matters into their own hands.

I arrived at the diner to find it closed and the lights off. Since I still had a key, I used it to unlock the door. Once inside, I relocked the front door and headed to the kitchen, where the light shone through the open window.
