#Chapter29 Nine
It wasn't nightfall yet. However, the forest stood still, dark as the soil. Grey clouds hovering over the trees.
The soil was wet and moist. Traces of light snow remained on the branches of some trees. Some decorated the leaves, some turned to water falling down to the tip of a leaf.
As she touched it wood it was cold. Her legs now covered in the black soil, wet and extremely cold.
But she didn't stop her venture out of the castle. The Forest may seem never-ending. It may look beautiful from the outside world. But for her, it was a never-ending maze with something waiting for her at every step she took.
She clutched the fur sheet against her chest as her other hand pulled her trailing grown-up away from the ground.
She had not seen him since dawn.
She wanted to see him again. Something in the air took her towards a certain familiar path. She stopped as she realized something. She stood right where she was a night ago.
