Their plan was working despite the bump in the road. The judge had no choice, but to release Dan seeing as though his accused murder was now walking around. After several signings of paperwork from Dan and Jason, Dan was able to go home. Janet drove with Dan in the backseat and Jason in the passenger seat. They were quiet for a moment, the tension never faltered even when it was over.

Dan was the first to break the silence as he started to clap and laugh. Jason and Janet both looked at each other before looking away, never looking at Dan. /"Oh come on both of you. You did it. I was worried for a moment I would have to take care of everything myself, but you both did it. I’m so glad I raised you both right./"

/"Just shut up, Dan. After everything you’ve done you are lucky I didn’t trail back home and left your evil ass to rot in that jail cell. I sacrificed everything for you to do what…/"Jason was interrupted from his ranting as Dan shook his head.
