/"Where is she?/" Gia asked. She was glaring at me. She probably thought this was my fault or that I wanted to hurt her. Why would I call for help if that was the case? I watched her eyebrows raise as if she was afraid. /"She’s not…/" she trailed off.

/"She’s in the bedroom,/" I told her pointing to the room with the open door. /"Not dead,/" I added quickly. She turned and ran through the doorway. I turned to look at the man, /"Doctor?/" I asked him. He nodded and held his hand out. I shook it, /"time for introductions later. I would like you to look at her first,/" I turned toward the bedroom and led the way. /"She is acting differently, and she has just vomited/" I told him what I could think of that he would want to know. /"She said her head hurts. She hit it hard when she fell. Concrete./" I stopped walking and stood at the foot of the bed while the doctor continued in Ivy’s direction.
