Mending Her Heart

I was studying in my room for exams when my cellphone beeped telling me that it's a message. I picked up my phone and checked the message.

Brandon: Please Madeline talk to me. How can you forget our study session?

Reading the message I felt a pang of guilt in my heart. He's really trying to talk to me but I keep pushing him away. I know if I meet him I won't be able to keep mine and Conner fake relationships secret. He will ask me questions and pester me into telling him the truth. I knew that I will not be able to lie to him on his face; it's not in my nature.

Once again my phone beeps indicating that I've a new message.

Brandon: I don't know how to solve exercise 2.8 of Algebra. Can you please come and help me?

I sighed reading the message and contemplating between going or not. If I need to pass exams without drama then I've to stay away from you Brandon.
