Chapter9

#Chapter9

On arrival back at the compound, the two men set about the task of eliminating the different spoor that has been found at each kill site. The first to be eliminated is the latest kill, along with the photos from two other deaths. The spoor in all three matches as this killer is missing one claw from his left paw.

They are able to match up to another two kills to the leopard that Piet shot from the blind on the first night of their stake out, but the remaining ten completely baffle them. The spoor left behind at each kill site is vastly different from each other, indicating that a total of 12 leopards are responsible for the 15 deaths that have occurred so far. Both men are aware that that is a near impossibility as leopards are very territorial and will not tolerate another male entry into its territory.
