Roger, along with Piet and Veronica arrive with a contingent of police at the village, ready to follow the young woman to the place of the Leopard Men when the sight of what is in the center of the village comes into their focus.

The villagers are still reeling in shock at what has taken place, and even more so at the sight of such vicious and intentional wounds and damage inflicted on the young woman’s corpse.

Roger immediately assigns his men to secure the area around the grisly sight in the hope that some evidence just might have been left behind. He puts a call through to the coroner’s office advising him that he is needed as another killing has taken place.

The prints of the leopard are very clear around the site, but from the work that has been done on the body, as well as the parcels wrapped in banana leaves, it leaves no doubt in anyone’s mind as to who the killers were.
