Insomnia, depression and what's worse, he had absolutely no appetite. Things couldn't get any worse for him.

Yet when life had already made him hit rock-bottom, there was nothing left to lose anymore. Thrown into such situation, a young man who wasn't in the best mental condition, suddenly got nicknamed Midnight and found himself visiting the same girl over and over again every night in her backyard. The girl being the same one he had had a crush on years ago. 

The problem is... This girl has no idea who he is, nor did he have any intention to let her know. In such situation a question arises:

Hearing the words /"mother-in-law/" and /"my daughter/", the woman seemed to completely lose it, screaming, throwing and smashing things. Jake felt sorry for Vincent. He only hoped he would get compensated.

From the other side of the line, Jake could hear a lot of noise, then some whooshing sounds and a door slamming followed by loud knocks and kicks. He could even hear the woman yelling at Jeremy to open the door.

/"You're still there?/" Jeremy brought the phone to his ear.

/"Great./" Jeremy breathed a sigh of relief. /"Can you hide Nina at your house until my shift is over? Take Leah too. My poor baby got traumatized./"

/"Yeah, sure./" Jake responded without hesitation. /"I'll be there in five minutes./"
