Insomnia, depression and what's worse, he had absolutely no appetite. Things couldn't get any worse for him.

Yet when life had already made him hit rock-bottom, there was nothing left to lose anymore. Thrown into such situation, a young man who wasn't in the best mental condition, suddenly got nicknamed Midnight and found himself visiting the same girl over and over again every night in her backyard. The girl being the same one he had had a crush on years ago. 

The problem is... This girl has no idea who he is, nor did he have any intention to let her know. In such situation a question arises:

/"She spilled half a bucket on my hoodie./" Jake pointed at Leah accusingly.

Leah hid the paint brush behind her back, grinning innocently at her father. /"I didn't do it. Moonie did!/"

Jeremy looked at the kitten in Jake's arms, then at his daughter covered in red paint and sighed. She doesn't even know how to lie! Tsk tsk tsk.

/"You bought the ice cream?/" Jake asked. He bent down to take off the old shirt of Leah. His thumb brushed her soft cheek to wipe the paint off, but it was already dry. Chuckling, he licked his thumb and wanted to wipe the cheek again, but Leah started struggling.

/"Daddy! Jay wants to wash me with spit!/" Leah hid behind Jeremy, hugging his thigh.

Jeremy patted her head and answered Jake. /"It's downstairs. I will bring it up. You wash Leah./"
