#Chapter37
I knew something was wrong. I knew it the moment Damien's eyes scanned the neighborhood when we went out. When he kept looking in the rearview mirror when we drove. He was completely on guard and I knew that it had something to do with the message that was on his door a few days ago. We hadn't gone back there, preferring to stay at mine.
/"Stop stressing Hanna,/" Damien said in a reassuring voice, /"Nothing's wrong. I just got some information on an escaped convict from the Lake Territory./"
/"Are you sure?/" I asked, not believing him.
He turned his eyes towards me just for a second, before looking back at the road. /"Yes Hanna, don't stress it./"
/"If you say so,/" I mumbled, showing him that I didn't believe him.
/"Wait,/" Damien said as I was opening the door of the car, /"I'll get it./"
