That earned a reaction. Going full-on supernova, Isaac's eyes blazed. His nostrils flared and his fist came down on the coffee table so hard that the impact rang as loud as a bomb dropping. /"Don't fucking lie to me. Just . . . don't./"

Gasping, Oz's head snapped up. Tears swam in his eyes, and a look of hurt destroyed his face; Isaac had never taken that tone with him before.

/"Don't talk to him like that./" I had always been told that true love was when somebody else's feelings mattered more than your own. Perhaps it held some truth, as seeing the look of distress on my Ozzy's face, watching as he fought for breath and held back the waterworks, I forgot my own worry.

He may have been Isaac's brother, but he was my baby. Nobody spoke to him like that. Not even me.
