As Link popped the door, clambering out, Aiden took a few additional seconds to reboot his lungs before popping his belt and following suit.
The loss of warmth from the heated interior was merciless. Once they hit the lift and flooded out into the busy town centre, it was worse. His breath was stolen by a sharp punch of wind. Tears stung against his eyes. He had to blink a few times, head ducking, to get his wits about him.
The werewolf granted him no patience, already a good five strides ahead. His long legs cleared through the crowd, pushing him further and further away. He was tall, his blond head poking above most of the humans. Aiden chased after him, his battered shoes smacking against the damp sidewalk.
