Searching his face, staring into him so very deeply that Stryker almost felt unnerved, he got the impression that Jamie was rooting through him, as though questioning everything he saw as to whether it was the truth.

/"Did you get her?/" he asked at last.

/"No. He said that I had to kiss him to get the information, not the other way around./"

/"If he was the one that I wanted, I would have gotten back together with him. I don't. I want you. Just you. The only reason he's acting this way is because he's jealous./"

Almost startled, Jamie managed to master the deer in headlights look. /"Jealous? Of me?/"
