Better yet, the whole thing, if it really had been Sam who had caused the fire like Stryker thought, had been his fault. Having Stryker as his Daddy had been what had set Sam off. His Daddy telling Sam that he loved him and wasn't going back to their messed up marriage had caused it.

He may not have started the fire, but it could have maybe been avoided if he had never fallen in love with Stryker.

/"I'm serious, Jamie. Get that rubbish out of your head. You've done nothing wrong./"

Nodding, even though he didn't exactly believe that, Jamie cleared his throat a little bit. /"I didn't say thank you./"

Head cocking an eyebrow quirking, Kernal let his words settle over the room before he answered, using his hand to check that Owen was warm enough now that he had a small army of blankets covering him. /"Thank you for what?/"
