#Chapter74
Valentine Special05
Without Joel's hand in mine, I think I would have been scared. The streets were lit only by a few streetlights and the moon's dim glow, but they seemed shady and like a monster was gonna jump on up out of the sewers, grab my leg and drag me away.
I regretted not bringing my dino babies. I think I would have snuck them along with me if my trousers had pockets.
What kind of trousers didn't have pockets? The worst kind!
The building we entered was a tall building, but squat compared to some of the others on the street. It looked scary and abandoned, like a murdery place off a horror show. The door squealed when Joel used the key to push it open.
And then it was so dark!
/"Daddy,/" I whimpered. /"Is Azey safes?/"
/"Azey is so safe,/" Daddy promised, squeezing my hand. /"I know this bit looks scary, but I promise, just at the bottom of this hall, you'll see what I've done./"
