/"Listen here, Asa,/" Joel growled softly. His voice was low and flooded with emotion, filling the restaurant bathroom. He had checked that it was empty before dragging me in there, locking the door behind him.

He wore a serious expression. It was more serious than any other I had seen that had crossed his face. I wasn't sure why that installed a sense of delight inside me; I should have felt bad about pushing his buttons but instead, it made me feel giddy.

/"Listen here, Joel,/" I mocked back, waggling a finger at him. He wasn't amused. His lips thinned and he closed his eyes for a split second before he reopened them, fixing me with a glare.

/"Asa,/" he breathed. /"So help me God, I'll.../"

/"What will you do?/" I asked innocently. /"Will you make me say sorry again? I already did. Two whole times, Joel./"
