/"What do you mean chief come on please get someone else!/" I plead with my boss on the phone this isn't happening.

/"Well fuck you too Riley! thank you for nothing/" I'm not proud of swearing at my own boss, but this is bad really bad.

Three of our officers are down, responding to a domestic violence case, the crazy dom shot them, nothing serious but they are out of duty for at least a month. That means they want me to go back to work soon, I had some time off since I adopted Toby, but now they wanted me back.

/"Daddyy.../" I heard Toby cries from his room, I've just put him down for bed, great, now I ruined my own baby sleep. I went to his room, he was sitting up in his crib, hugging the same unicorn and crying.
