#Chapter21
It's been just over a week since I had to talk with the police, they didn't need much from us but have been keeping us updated. They haven't been able to track down Connor or that woman yet, flyers with their faces are plastered everywhere, every time I look at his face the fear I was feeling reappears. Whenever any of us leave the house, we're welcomed by the locals who always stop and ask us how we are. When we first arrived in this town, I thought these people are all weird but now this has happened, I can see everyone is just so nice and welcoming.
I was just in the kitchen doing the washing up, while Margret was dying the plates. Whenever the guys are at work, Margret has been coming over or I go to her at her work. At first I thought it would be a bit weird, she's old enough to be my mother and in some cases, my grandmother. But it's actually been kind of nice to have a motherly figure in my life, something my own mother has never been to me.
