I couldn't ignore the tingles that ignited as he gripped my wrist and held them above my head. I felt the bark of the tree stab into my back as he had me pressed against it. I bit my lip, not from excitement but from fear. He raised his lips up to my ear and growled. 

"There is nothing between you and I. You don't deserve to become the Luna of my pack, you are weak." He hissed into my ear. 

I watched as he walked out of the forest. I heard my heart shattering to pieces.

/"Nicholas what will happen when you finally find your mate? Will I not matter to you anymore?/" I screamed as I punched the wall next to me.

Argument after argument between us made me feel as though I couldn't trust anyone with my heart, like they would all end the same way as Liam did, with my heart broken and my sword through their chest.

/"Ava please listen, I don't want to talk about this right now I have a pack to run, I love you and that's all that matters so why can't you just see that?/" Nicholas said as he paced the bedroom.

/"But you never show me!/" I cried out.

He swiftly walked over to me and reached out causing me to flinch badly, the reaction couldn't be helped no matter what I did but instead of hitting me he gently placed both hands on either sides of my face as he looked me deep into my eyes and all I saw was love and sadness, something I just wasn't used to.
