#Chapter38
Miles' Point of View
My body twitches and aches. There was a familiar pain of the chains from when I was in captivity with Malcolm. I can't remember what happened after he choked me out in the restaurant, my memory was foggy but once my eyelids uncovered my eyes, I could see where I was. The time I spent here with Max, the good and bad memories. A weight on my body, brought pain to my back as it lowered my chest. Looking down, I could see a bunch of wires attached to the main circuit on the chest piece.
The sound of boots hitting the ground. The person was walking so slow, I could hear their heel clicking on the ground as their toes came next. /"Oh you're finally up, that took a while./"
