#Chapter28
A devil goes to church
Ian's POV
My baby's engine revved loudly. She was angry. I haven't taken her out in a while. As I drove on the bumpy road, I glanced at Zara from the rear view mirror.
/"Do you think it was a good idea to leave her alone in that big house?/" Jason asked, raising both brows. /"I've always known her to be wild./"
I looked at him with the side of my eyes. /"We can't let her follow us. She'll let her emotions get the best of her./"
Rays of the sun passed through the windshield, heating up the whole car. I rolled up the windows and turned on the A.C.
/"You should have done that a long time ago./" Jason wiped off sweat from his forehead with a handkerchief. /"Take a left./"
I swerved the car to the left and pressed down the accelerator. The landscape was dry and empty. There were few dead trees scattered around.
I nodded my head. /"Smart choice./"
/"What?/" Jason asked, glancing at me.
