Mark of Another
Alastor seemed to understand it, as he grabbed me for a hug. My head was against his chest, hearing his heart beating a quite fast. A symphony with a fast tempo. Not a normal song on my playlist, but would still hear it on replay any day.
As his scent of red velvet cake with butter cream consumed and comforted me, I sniffed more of him and his hold on me went tighter. It was the best feeling I could ever have without words.
Then, I felt Alastor rubbing my back, as if to comfort me. Seconds later, he said, /"Cry it all out./"
/"What?/" I asked, baffled. At that point, I reached out to my face, only for the tips of my fingers to feel the damp skin on it. That was only when I found out that tears were streaming down my cheeks.
I didn't know I was crying.
