We had just finished our dinner as Xavier and I washed the dishes. He said I shouldn't have to do them. But I insisted that I do.

We finished the last dish and kept it in the tray. /"What is it that you wanted to talk about? Is everything alright?/" I asked him worried. He seemed a bit tensed the entire time.
