#Chapter38
HER TEAR STAINED FACE
It was past midnight yet Ash was still sitting beside the pond as he was getting trouble sleeping.
He relaxed his mind by sitting alone in the dark, silence and watching small fishes as they swam around the pond, the low and faint splattering sound of the water felt calming to the mind.
After a while, Ash got up to return home as he noticed the time. He lazily strolled down the dark, empty streets.
It was an unpleasantly cold winter's night; dark, mystifying, the moon was sheltered by the murky looming clouds.
Ash felt somewhat anxious and uneasy, he fastened his face and lifted his hands up to cover his head with the hood, however his hands stopped midway, so did his feet as he heard a loud gasp from the behind.
Ash froze for a second and quickly turned around to see there was no one there, he heard the loud footsteps echoing in the dark, silent night and ran forward to follow the footsteps.
