I didn't want his hands around my torso, to be perfectly honest, and if it were up to me, I wouldn't have held his shoulders, but I was afraid I'll fall flat on the ground if I let go. The whole half-hug was uncomfortable, for both of us, that was no secret, despite neither of us being easily embarrassed.
