A bit less grim.../" I paused for a second, to see his reaction - his gaze was curious and calm, calculating even. He didn't let me know, if I was right or wrong, or if he agreed or not, but I knew bluntness is the only way to break his poker face, so I let a soft, knowing smile appear on my lips, and I finished my line of thoughts:
/"What I'm saying is that your fangs are showing, Jude... Your well-prepared facade of rationality and gentleness is fading away, now that you have me down here. You say you intend on having me by your side again, but all I hear is /"I'll hunt you down if I have to/"./"
His lips tilted upwards, probably against his great effort to hide the fact that I saw through him - but he was most likely too entertained by my observation, to hold himself back.
