/"I'll accept your offer -on one condition: Veronica is to be handed to me before we go, and is put into good care. I want her to wait in one of the upstairs rooms until I get back./"
Fair enough, Cleo was slightly perplexed by my request, as I added no further explanation. Nor a reason why I want to make the back-stabbing woman's stay more comfortable.
Let's just say, I do want her to feel safer -especially around me.
/"Your wish shall be granted./" Cleo nodded, then stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him. /"You are eager to go, I suppose?/" the slight sarcasm in his voice did make me smile a bit.
/"Incredibly so.../"
/"Ahah, well... shall we?/" he kindly gestured to get us going.
/"We shall. I've notified Lucifer that we would be on our way./" I added, letting him take the lead. Cleo let out a quiet, but dramatically relieved sigh.
