<p>The darkness, it had become a friend of mine. Alone and protruding my misery into the air, I had spent everyday watching the monitors, the ones that displayed my own image, the reflection of the mess I had become. </p>

<p>Five days alone and trapped within the hell my captor had created for me. I was starting to forget how the real me looked like, the one that was proud, brave, confident because all I could see on the monitors was a scared little girl, a lonely girl, one that was borderline insane at this point. I guess I wasn’t as strong as I had thought myself to be because just five days of being robbed of my freedom and left in the dark had already took a toll on me. </p>
