I couldn’t stop the numbness that I felt in my chest, Jiro had left after he assaulted me but he didn’t leave without threatening me that if I spoke of this to anyone, he‘s ruin my entire life… he had said it as if he hadn’t ruined my life but I didn’t even want to think about what else he wanted to do to me.

I barely slept a minute from the moment he left and as the sun rose to it’s beauty, I realised that I had been awake all night, just numbly staring at the wall and going through my options, I had none other than to just get over everything that had happened, to forget it all and pretend like nothing had happened. If that was even possible.

Putting on my school uniform, I felt disgusted with myself to be wearing a skirt now, I felt as though I was inviting guys to hurt me. I wished that I could just walk into school with pants instead but I had to remind myself- pretend like nothing happened.
