#Chapter18
Aphrodite
The moment their swords first clashed I attempted to run over and put a stop to the insanity, but found myself promptly held back by a guard, so that I can only watch as Ares and my father attempt to kill each other.
My father is a formidable and terrifying opponent, but so is Ares. Their strength, speed, and technique puts them at a steady stale mate, and I watch as they continuously dodge each others blows.
Dad manages to make a slash in Ares’s torso, and Ares responds with returning the favor by stabbing his sword through dad’s arm--thankfully not the one holding a sword. But the blow is brutal and weakening.
Don’t die. Don’t die. Please, for the love of the gods, don’t die on me. I beg of you.
Knowing that I can’t do anything else, and knowing that this might be my single chance to escape this personal hell hades has built for me, I release an ability that only my parents knew I had.
