#Chapter20
Aphrodite
Power surges forward to the surface of my skin. Not only has Ares killed my father, he has put him on display. Defiled his name and his power.
No amount of torture will make me complacent at this very moment. My father deserves a proper burial at sea, where he requested to be buried. He deserves the elaborate tomb that was built for him hundreds of years ago. He deserves more than his corpse being paraded around like a trophy.
Power like I’ve never felt before consumes me, giving me strength that I’ve never seen until this moment.
I don’t want to live without my father. But Ares doesn’t deserve to live, either.
I’m going to kill him.
And then I’ll kill myself. I can’t live after what I’ve been through. I’ll never be the same, I’ll be scarred for the rest of my life and not fit to lead.
