It was a well-known tragedy that fear was such a familiar feeling to me. I practically breathed it. Alpha had successfully turned me into his victorious empty shell. Nerves demanded my body to react taking the control from me, forcing me to bend to their will.

The seemingly bottomless pit in my stomach dropping repeatedly. At this point I was no longer sure what the cause for my fear was. I wasn't afraid to die, I wasn't afraid to feel pain. Was its fear of the unknown maybe? I didn't know.

Maybe fear was just that engraved into my soul I had no other option. I had been trembling since the four men handed me an invitation to join Rd. Mallick for dinner. I wanted to shake my head at the method behind his words, I knew as well as he that I didn't have a choice.
